Guest guest
So we can't start adding foods except for the weekly cheat till we are all done with the program right?(suffering from food BOREDOM ) I do not understand how a weekly cheat could not feed the yeast? and why do the cheat have a time limit? Is it because if you go beyond 2 hrs you stress your pancreas out to put out more insulin? Would a weekly cheat cause us to go back to having craving for sweets? or if you are far enough along that won't happen? Sorry for so many questions. I have been on the diet for just over 7 months. I had one oops exposure to a cheat food recently. Then last nite I finally found a food I dememded worthy of a possible cheat side effect - fresh end of season hand picked organic practice BLUEBERRIES(my DAD brought us 3 gallons!) - I ate them for about 15 min yesterday and did fine but that may have been becuase I burned all the sugar in my blood when the debris pile in my neighbors yard cuaght fire and I need to fight and deal with the fireman etc... I could not resist them again tonite and ate them for about 30 min (followinf a heavy on fat meal). It'll be interesting to see what tomorrow is like but now I am done. I get REALLY good eggs (about 14 dz) tomorrow and I think I will be doing a couple days of fake cream, egg milk, and egg drop soup(made with bone broth). The reason is my digestion has bottomed out again! Can I live on fake cream, egg milk, and broth? If so how long? It is VERY boring but my digestion is REALLY screwed up!(I have already started the 2 enemas a day part, I was REALLY backed up) I leave for a 10 day visit to family on the 15th. SO I am hoping if I do this then my system will clean out and whatever I get exposed to while gone I hope my body can handle better. My mom has painted and put in new floors(the floor was a last min thing but she says it does have an odor). I have to give her credit she did try. She had the painter use ecospec but then he did not use it for the ceiling AND he used a strong primer to paint over knotty pine I am bringing cholopyll in hopes it'll help. She has choroinated bath water so epson salt soaks will not do much. May be I can bring her a shower head attachment?..... Sorry to go on and on. Just trying to figure out how to deal with everything. Thanks Kara
Guest guest
> > So we can't start adding foods except for the weekly cheat till we > are all done with the program right?(suffering from food BOREDOM : ( ) +++Hi Kara. There are so many foods to choose from on this diet. Maybe try exploring more of a variety in the foods that are allowed, and also try some great recipes on my website. Sometimes foods become less boring when you use spices properly. > I do not understand how a weekly cheat could not feed the yeast? and why do the cheat have a time limit? Is it because if you go beyond 2 hrs you stress your pancreas out to put out more insulin? +++I didn't say the weekly cheat doesn't feed the yeast. It does for sure! But if you must cheat the time limit is so it can get through your system in one period of time once a week, rather than cheating with something every day. It has nothing to do with the pancreas & insulin. Most people get sick after cheating so they learn not to cheat. But cheating makes a person feel like they aren't " fighting the diet " all of the time, and it won't do a lot of damage. > > Would a weekly cheat cause us to go back to having craving for > sweets? or if you are far enough along that won't happen? +++Some people can't cheat with sweets at all because their sweet tooth is too strong. I don't recommend cheating, I only acknowledge that it does happen and that limiting it to once a week within the time period has less impact on your progress. > > Sorry for so many questions. If so how long? +++You can probably do it for 2 weeks IF you are meeting your protein to fat to carb ratios. > It is VERY boring but my digestion is REALLY screwed up!(I have already started the 2 enemas a day part, I was REALLY backed up) I leave for > a 10 day visit to family on the 15th.
