No, V8 vegetable juice is not okay. V8 is a concoction made from processed (heated) juice concentrate or reconstituted vegetable juice with added salt (why does 's add salt?) and " natural flavorings. " Natural flavorings are nothing more than repackaged MSG. Here are the ingredients of a can of V8 Juice straight from the label: Tomato Juice from Concentrate (Water, Tomato Paste), Reconstituted Vegetable Juice Blend (Water and Concentrated Juices of Carrots, Celery, Beets, Parsley, Lettuce, Watercress, Spinach), Lemon Juice from Concentrate (Water, Lemon Juice Concentrate), Salt, Natural Flavoring, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Citric Acid. Also juicing vegetables is not recommended unless you also consume plenty of " good " fats with it to slow the release of carbs/sugars into the system.
