Guest guest
Hi Bee, I noticed almond milk is not allowed on diet, but what about " unsweetened " almond milk. It has no sugar so would it be allowed? Just curious...i'm craving a milk substitute..I used to drink Lactaid which I know has sugar. Thanks so much, Rose

Rose, it isn't about the sugar in substitute milk products; they all contain bad fats like soy, safflower, etc. You can make egg milk or fake cream - see these recipes: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/menu3_1.php However, coconut milk on that menu is not suitable for candida. Guest guest
Rose, I second the motion to try the egg milk recipe. It is so much yummier than unsweetened almond milk, and you can adjust the ingredients to your personal taste. I tried it for the first time today, and had to make a second batch because my family (who can eat whatever they want) gobbled it all up and asked for more! My 18 month old granddaughter got a sip of it, and decided to be my " best friend " for the rest of the day. I was craving milk, too, but not after trying the delicious stuff. Try it - you will like it! Unsweetened almond milk is a pale imitation of real milk. The egg milk is rich and satisfying. My guess is that your next question will be, " Who needs milk when you have this?
