Guest guest
Hi Bee and everyone I've had this cold for over a week now and the cold seems to be getting better but now the sinus pain is horrible. I can't even tilt my head forward that the pain is so bad. It makes me feel so miserable. Does anyone know what to do for this rather than going to the doctor for antibiotics which I don't need right now with this candida. I know I asked this question before and I tried the things that was suggested in Bee's program regarding sinus but it seems it's just not clearing it ..... thanks Maddy

I can't even tilt my head forward that the pain is so bad. I rarely have this problem any more but when I do, I take an oil of oregano capusle 2-3 times a day. I also break a capsule open and put it into a small cap (like a water bottle) and I plug one nostril and inhale the O of O fumes into the other. Everyone laughed at me at work but one by one they came in my office asking if I had any capsules the last time everyone shared the office cold. Hi Maddy. It may take time to clear your sinuses. The mucus is forming for a very good reason, which is to detoxify your body. Try putting hot wet compresses over your sinuses, as well as using some oil of oregano like Jeanne K. recommends in her message. Also try rubbing some cod liver oil into the outside of your sinuses. Any cheats will cause this to be worse. I hope you feel better soon. Luv, Bee

Guest guest
Maddy, I was told by my pharmacist to boil water (purified), put it into a bowl and put a towel over my head. Breathe in the hot steam. Steam breaks up mucus. I have to do it at least twice to get the sinuses starting to drain. I have put tea tree oil in the water too. It gets your eyes, but I still do it! This is the ONLY way I can get rid of a headache.
Guest guest
You are doing everything I do/ recommend, but if you absolutely need to get through the day with symptom relief, Benadryl is considered " safe " for pregnancy. As is REGULAR Mucinex (not the cough suppressant). If your neti pot usage has really irritated your sinuses, the Benadryl can help. Sometimes all you need is the repreive from one dose to turn the tide. Mucinex thins secretions and helps relieve the plugged feeling. There was one time in both my pregnancies where I had to succumb to OTC stuff to get through a sinus infection for a day or two. There is something about pregnancy and sinuses.... HUGS to you my whole family is miserable with sinus stuff! e Ps: do you make elderberry syrup? Great daily immune builder but I am not sure of daily use with pregancy. I use the recipe from MN midwife Piorier at www.minnesotaherbalist.com Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Help Sinus pain Hi All! I woke up yesterday with the feeling that I was getting my allergies back. (that burning inside your nose). I haven't had allergies here in MN now for a few years.... ever since I switched my diet to organic and local foods, honey, more traditional diet, etc. I was surprised. But pregnancy is a flukey thing. We have averted an insane amount of illnesses in the last month. I feel like my immunity has been VERY good. I wonder if I've been around too many sick kids in a row, and it's taken its toll??? Anyway, it was bad enough last night that I was 100% stuffed up and IN PAIN!!!!!!!!!! I did the neti pot like 10 times over the course of the evening. Toward the end of the night, the flow wouldn't even go down my nose. So I used the more " aggressive flow " bottle by neilmed, which HURT A LOT and gave me NO relief. I was finally able to sleep a few hours propped up on the couch and I feel like I can semi-breath now. Any recommendations on how I can get QUICK relief? I know that health isn't about symptom relieving.... I'm going to make an appointment with a chiro hopefully soon. But right now I need SYMPTON RELIEF. Especially because we ARE going to the milk hearing today at the capitol. Please help. I have time in the morning to run to the co-op. I've been doing herbal teas, green teas, HONEY... I just ran out. Apple cider vinegar in water (which is lovely and provides immediate relief, but only for like 1 minute) Hot wet cloths on my face (also short-lived relief). I've had so much tea (it's a kid's organic cold tea with elderberry and also a green tea) that my stomach is upset, so now I've switched to lots and lots of water. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
Guest guest
I just read about that last night bi have some really good ones in the refrigerator and I'm going to try that today. Thank you all for your suggestions. I tried most of them yesterday and rested and I'm still sick, but I feel like a million bucks compared to yesterday. Amazing how the body heals itself so quickly when you're doing things to boost immunity and not just cover over symptoms. I'll trying the probiotics next time I do the Neti pot. Thank you!!! > > So many great suggestions. Did you also try adding probiotics to your net pot by adding some of the contents of a probiotic capsule to the lukewarm or tepid water? >
