Here's a new one Bee! Eustachian tube problems

So... we were at the beach a couple of weeks ago and were

experiencing some mild detox symptoms from a cheat the night before.

(Scratchy throat, etc...). We were in the ocean, and Marina had the

not-so-bright idea to gargle ocean water, and to suck ocean water

down her nose to " soothe " her throat.

In the middle of the night (9 hours later??), she awoke to bad ear

pain and demanded to be taken to the doctor. I thought it was

swimmers ear, but the doc said it was a full-blown ear infection,

just simply based on seeing a red eardrum. You can guess what

happened next... a prescription for 10 days of Amoxycillin. We were

at the beach and didn't have all the ingredients for garlic/clove

teas, etc... plus we were so damn tired because the same thing

happened when we went to Russia for 3 weeks, and she was sick for 1/2

of the trip!

So Marina did the antibiotics. I insisted that she refrain from ANY

cheats while on them, and she began probiotics and consistent

antifungals. The good news was that she did not get a yeast

infection as she always has when using antibiotics. The bad news is

that she did antibiotics... AND they did not relieve the problem, of

course!! :)

Since the course of antibiotics finished 8 days ago, she has been

drinking 4 cups of garlic/ginger/lemon tea and 4 cups of clove tea

per day. She has also been alternating garlic and hydrogen peroxide

drops in her ears from your treatments folder.

After researching the issue today, and comparing it to her symptoms

(full-feeling ears, not able to yawn or pinch her nose/blow to

relieve pressure, pain at the base of her ears down the sides of her

throat, etc...), I'm 100% sure that she has clogged Eustachian

tubes. It was a pretty stupid idea to intentionally snort salt water

up her nose, and I'm not happy about it to say the least. (Tired of

* & & ^%#@ doctors!!)

As you may know, there is not much success in treating Eustachian

blockage with conventional medicine. (They usually try 3 days of

Afrin spray followed by 6 weeks of steroid nasal sprays for

treatment). Surgery is a last resort (placing tubes in the ears).

Many people suffer from this condition for many YEARS!

I'm hoping, Bee, that you know of some " gargle " or natural treatment

to unclog the Eustachian tubes. For now, she's going to continue the

ear treatments, and add chewing some natural gum, trying to yawn lots

during the day, and pinching her nose/closing her mouth and gently

blowing 20 times per hour to try to unblock them.

Oh.... also, she's sweating profusely, which she says she always does

when having an infection. She just has to take a couple of sips of

hot tea, and her shirt gets wet from all the sweat. STrange????

Unfortunately for me, I also cheated 50% at the beach and then went

camping last weekend and REALLY went overboard. It will probably

take me one month 100% to fully get back to where I was. My bloat,

which had disappeared completely for 3+ months is back. :)

Thanks!!!

Doug

+++Hi Doug. It's great to hear from you. You can be assured Marina

did not get sick from the sea water.

+++Those treatments should help her Doug. Also have her apply wet

heat, as hot as she can stand it, to the area just behind and below

her ears. Also moisture in the air is good. She could steam up the

bathroom and sit in it, breathing deeply, for 10-15 minutes at a

time, or boil water on the stove.

+++Sweat is a good thing. It helps clear out toxins. She should

also take hot Epsom salt baths, as hot as she can stand them, and

soak for 15-20 minutes.

+++Oh oh Doug. Move on, and put all of that behind you. You know

what to do and I'm sure it won't take a month. Let me know if I am

right, okay?

The best to you and Marina,

Bee
