Guest guest
Hi all, Hope everyone is well on their journey. I recently started working part-time in the meat department of our local grocery store. Pretty wild environment for someone who used to think of meat as more of a condiment than a staple. :~) My second week of work, I started having jaw pain. First one side, then both sides, then one side again. I have no insurance so cannot go to a dr/dentist. At first, I thought it was a bad tooth, but the pain comes and goes and switches between my top jaw and bottom jaw. Also, my glands just under my jawline up near my ears feels tender. When I'm in the cold room (about 40 degrees), I seem to breathe better, but my nose is always ready to run. I've noticed I have more sinus pressure lately, too. There is a 'tickle' I feel way down inside my head. Like I really could use to sneeze. The tendons in my jaws feel achy. I'm wondering if this is part of detox? I had a scare about tetanus as I nicked my hand the beginning of the second week, just around the time I started having all these pains. I think I'm just being paranoid. I've been taking garlic tea, about a quart a day. Rinsing my sinuses with salt water twice a day. There is mold in some of the display coolers but I've begun a campaign to clean them out. They haven't been cleaned in over five years!! I used to wear cotton in my ears to sleep at night but noticed the other night that when I put the cotton in, my jaw hurt BADLY so I've been going without. My sister says sinus issues can cause jaw and/or tooth pain. Sometimes bad pain. I have actually had to take a Tylenol twice in the past week, the pain was so intense. Last night I drank garlic tea and went for a walk and the pain went away. Can anyone relate to this? Did any of you old-timers (for want of a better word) go through anything like this? Or anyone who's worked in a cold environment? I'm trying to trust my body but also scared because I haven't had this much pain during my healing so far. Thanks for listening, Cathe
